The Day of Pentecost falls on Sunday, May 20, when we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birthday of the church. We will receive the Pentecost Offering on that day.
The Pentecost Offering is one of the P.C.(U.S.A.)’s special offerings and is designated to benefit Children At Risk, Youth, and Young Adults, helping our youth begin life with a solid foundation of faith. Congregations “keep” forty percent of funds raised in this offering, and can choose a local organization to receive the funds. The Mission Committee has again designated “Sweep the Streets” to receive the local portion of our offering.
