In May each year, the Christian Education committee takes great pleasure in recognizing the accomplishments of our youth and young adults. We are proud of their academic and athletic achievements and want to recognize our graduates.

This year we have one high school graduate:  Collin Jones, son of Charles and Kristin Jones, is graduating from Cedar Crest High School on May 31, 2013. As a student at Cedar Crest, Collin participated in Soccer, Falcon Friends, King of Hearts Court, and the Math and Physics Club. Collin will attend the University of Rochester to study Physics and Pre-Med.

Our college graduates are:

  • Marie Cikovic graduated from Bloomsburg University’s Department of Nursing on May 12, 2018 with a B.S.N. degree. She is the daughter of Donna and Anthony Cikovic. Marie also participated in dance ensemble, musical theater, ballet, and hip hop at BU.   Marie will be employed as an acute care nurse at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center beginning in July.
  • Avery Dowd graduated from Brandeis University on May 13, 2018 with a B.S. degree in Biology and a minor in English. She is the daughter of Carla and Bob Dowd. Avery participated in Chamber and University Choruses and A Cappella choir during all four years of college.   Avery plans to attend graduate school, after a year break, to further her study of genetics.
  • Amanda Gries graduated from Millersburg University on May 12, 2018 with a B.S. degree in Education. She is the daughter of Robin and Ken Gries. Amanda is currently seeking employment as a fourth to eighth grade math teacher.
  • Elisabeth Hamme graduated from Juniata College in May 2018 with a B.S. degree in Information Technology and a minor in English. She is the daughter of Lisa and Marc Hamme. Beth played collegiate soccer at Juniata for all four years.   Beth is currently seeking employment in the IT field.
  • Kaitlyn Mulligan graduated from Clarion University in December 2017 with a B.S. degree in Strategic Communications. She is the daughter of Mary Lynne and Bill Mulligan. Kaitlyn was an Honors Program member, Social Media Coordinator/Outreach Director for campus media organization, member of PRSSA and hosted a radio show.   Kaitlyn will be employed as a Social Media Professional Intern with Walt Disney Company in Orlando starting in June.
  • Megan Elizabeth Risko graduated from Kutztown University in May 2018 with a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Spanish. She is the daughter of Kimlynne and Chris Risko. Megan is currently interviewing for teaching positions in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Please congratulate all of our graduates and continue to pray for them as they close one chapter in their lives and begin a new one.  Encourage them and help fill them with gratitude, humility, love, and faith.
