Mission Committee

The Mission Committee of St. Andrews seeks to promote mission awareness to the members of the church, allocates funds for the Deacon's Ministry and Strategic Mission, and publicizes opportunities for members to become involved in service to others.

PARTICULAR OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:
 
 

  • Free Noon Meal - St. Andrews hosts the Free Noon Meal on the 2nd Saturday of each month in Snyder Hall. Various groups within the church take turns preparing and serving.  Anyone may help at any time
  • Angel Tree - Opportunities to provide Christmas gifts for children whose parent is incarcerated.
  • Alternative Gift Fair - Opportunities to make a contribution to a local charity in lieu of purchasing a gift for someone.  Organizations represented are:  Habitat for Humanity, Bridge of Hope, Community Library, Domestic Violence Intervention Center, Heifer International.
  • Adult Mission Trip - St. Andrews participated with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance in February, 2006 (32 participants) and March 2007 (12 participants) taking a group of adults to the Gulf states area, helping to clean up and begin to rebuild homes hit by hurricane Katrina.
